Stephen has 13 years of experience in for- and non-profit healthcare, first internally in IT and management and then as a self-employed consultant with over 20 organizations (small, medium, and large).
He’s worked extensively with continuous process improvement at the intersection of finance and operations, as well as with comprehensive and customized strategic plans which carefully considered the people who would execute them. In addition to experience in healthcare, he has consulting experience with data science, DEI, strategy, and market entry for start-ups and small- and mid-size organizations in affordable housing, sustainability, food service, and ag-tech.
He studied pre-med and has a BA in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley. He has a professional certificate in data science from IBM.
For his MBA at UCLA, he received dual specializations in Leadership Development and Social Impact, with additional coursework in Technology Management, earning distinctions of top student achievement in Leadership Development, honor roll, and commencement speaker. He’s passionate about empowering people in organizations not only because he enjoys the engagement, but also because he sees talent as a core value driver across industries. He lives in Capitola, California, USA.
He can be found in his free time in the forest, on the beach, or near a kitchen, as the golf course is harder to reach with his partner and their two delightful young children inviting his attention these days.
